N1: Early Childhood
Exploration and Sensory Development: Children are highly curious and explore the world primarily through their senses. Montessori emphasises sensory activities to enhance learning. Language Acquisition: This is a critical period for language development. Children rapidly expand their vocabulary and begin to form simple sentences. Developing Independence: Children show a desire for independence. Montessori encourages activities that allow children to do things by themselves, fostering self-sufficiency. Motor Skills Development: Fine and gross motor skills are rapidly developing. Activities like pouring, scooping, or threading beads help refine these skills.

N2: Preschool Age
Socialisation and Emotional Development: Children begin to show more interest in other children and start to develop social skills like sharing and cooperation. Cognitive Development: They become capable of more complex thought processes and begin to understand abstract concepts. Montessori materials aid in developing these cognitive skills. Language and Communication: Language skills continue to develop rapidly. Children start to grasp basic grammar and refine their conversational skills. Refinement of Motor Skills: Enhanced focus on refining fine motor skills, crucial for writing and other academic activities.
